Services

Driving Safety Services (DSS) provides management for drug and alcohol testing programs as well as program management for DOT/Non-DOT compliance for companies.   DSS has a consortium available for owner/operators and companies too small to host their own random pool.  DSS provides the following services:

* Drug and Alcohol program management

* Background Screening services, nation-wide MVR's including criminal background checks.

* Audit compliance with TPSAlert, NCMS, Veriforce.

* LifeLoc Breathe Alcohol Testing equipment and supplies.

* LifeLoc Distributor for EV-30 and 6.0 BT breathe alcohol testing devices

* LifeLoc Certified instructor and train the training classes.

* Urine Specimen Collector Training including instructor training. 

 Our professional training program certifies individuals as a (BAT) Breath Alcohol Technician in compliance with DOT's regulations Part 40. Training is provided in the procedures for obtaining a breath sample, interpreting the EBT results, preparing the alcohol test (ATF) form, recording results and reporting to the company DER. Performance Oriented, Hands-On Training allows maximum time operating the EBT. DOT and EBT proficiency training is simultaneously conducted though face-to-face, real-time observation where proficiency must be demonstrated in front of our professional instructor. 

 Driving Safety Services provides professional DOT collector training as specified in 49 CFR Part 40.  Training prepares the student who instructs and assists employees at the collection site, who receives and makes an initial inspection of the specimen, who initiates and completes the Federal Drug Custody and Control Form. Our instructors provide years of experience in urine collection and provide complete “face-to-face” Performance Oriented hands-on training.

Detailed instruction and a step-by-step technique is used to provide an understanding DOT's collection requirements while assuring the integrity of the collection process.  All training is conducted using the latest DOT training material and information.

Provides monthly, quarterly and annual random selection notifications and list of current individuals for each applicable pool depending on regulatory agency or company policy by either email, fax or mail

DSS can provide your company with a DOT/FMCSA Compliance Review.  The benefit of having a compliance review conducted by DSS is that it will enable the motor carrier to proceed forward with their safety compliance issues and know what needs to be accomplished prior to becoming a recipient of a DOT audit.  Our review will ensure your DER and other personnel are properly trained to review and maintain records, policies and procedures required by DOT.

DSS also partners with companies who can provide your company with comprehensive compliance management assistance. 

Driving Safety Services will advise carrier officials after the review as to when a follow-up review should take place.  Driving Safety Services does not leave the carriers “hanging” out there to gain compliance on their own.  We will set a schedule for follow-up visits to assist the carrier in gaining a satisfactory safety posture.
